Behnoosh Feiz
I am a multidisciplinary artist living in the Italian countryside. I grew up in Shiraz, Iran, where I spent my summers practicing painting with local artists, immersed in Persian miniature, geometric patterns, and figurative work.
After moving to Germany to study naturopathy and later studying interior design, I established an interior design boutique in Dubai. These experiences shaped my understanding of structure, space, and the connection between body, mind, and spirit, which became central to my artistic approach. In 2017, volunteering at Mawaheb Art Studio led me back fully to my practice.
My work explores the tension between presence and absence, emerging from quiet observations of everyday life. Through repeated gestures, squares, strokes, and marks. I investigate the moment when attention begins to drift and presence starts to dissolve.
This inner tension is a constant negotiation between opposing forces: awareness and distraction, control and surrender, stillness and movement. My process is both mental and physical, continuing to the point of exhaustion, where intention loosens and a more instinctive language can emerge.
I aim to give form to this shifting state, inviting the viewer to slow down and reflect on the fragile, ever-changing experience of being.
